just be aware we are (probably!) closer to a time where it could be the right move to extend duration than when I first made this thread.

Is that in the event of rate cuts? What would extending the duration look like?

FZDXX has been treating me fine for cash.

Why would you want a floating rate when rates are likely to start heading back down?

Not a fan of treasury’s at all, but what economic indicator is telling you rates are going down?

Check the date, that post is over a year old.

So, I've got 20k I'm holding for my daughter to use to help with a payment for a house in probably 2 years or so. I had it in ibonds a while back, then I moved it to T-blls and have been reinvesting it in them over and over lately.

Sounds like this would be a better/easier option for me for that money, yes?

IMO, yes, seems easier and higher returning.

Just want to say I've loved USFR over the past year. Great, reliable returns that beat out every savings and money market account. And it's quite liquid.

The only ETF I might recommend over USFR is FLOT for tax advantaged accounts that can tolerate a bit more risk. But USFR is safer and better in most cases.

Ok thanks, so just buy whenever and sell whenever, set the dividends to reinvest and just let it ride?

Seems simple enough.

Yes, but again, that's for "cash" (which it sounds like it fits for your situation). If it's for "fixed income", then need to maintain awareness around the broader rates landscape.

How often is the interest paid on USFR?

What rate are you getting to lock your money up for no reason?

I believe they pay it during the 3rd week of every month.

However, if you look at the price action, it pretty much just perfectly goes up in price until it goes ex, so you shouldn't have to worry about entry and exit dates.
