Imagine living in some place like Carbondale, IL and having to pay taxes to fund a NFL stadium in suburb Chicago what a joke

Worse, metro east STL after watching what they pulled in 2016.

I've been wondering about that. Is it worth having the indoor facility for a Final Four once every 15 years and a couple of Taylor Swift concerts every five years?

LOL

They'll have multiple events and in the running for Super Bowls,CFP,etc.

Makes complete sense to have a facility for use all year round in Chicago and the real money is made managing the facility and those events and I'm assuming the Bears ownership will be in doing just that along with getting half the funds for the facility...which is complete bullshite.

It can also be used as a convention hall.

Chicago already has McCormick Place which (I think) is still the largest convention center in the world.

And Merchandise Mart

What really gets me is they want the taxpayers to help build their stadium and in return are rewarded with higher ticket prices. They get em coming and going.
When the Mavs swithed from Reunion arena to the AAC, they started charging the media $7.00 for the pregame meal that had been complimentary.. The Rangers did the same thing when they went from Arlington Stadium to The Ballpark.
