Lucky how? The best horse doesn't necessarily win races, it's the best trip by the jock. They had a plan, and it worked. Looked to me about 16 others didn't belong whatsoever, except on paper. A win is a win whether it's by a nose hair, or a country mile. This year's crop of 3 year old colts, is no...

Pimlico always gets 100k and the Belmont at Saratoga is already sold out. They have nothing to do with the viewership ratings. Tracks are in the business of making money from pools and on track handle. How hard is that to comprehend? Churchill doesn't give a dime to NBC. It's more like the other w...

The wagering public do not care about the viewership. Handle and pools will be solid, as always. Besides, the object of horseracing par mutuel wagering is to beat the favorite. Your betting against other bettors. ...

Barbaro doesn't break down, there was no doubt in my mind he would've won the TC. He was an absolute monster, that was trained by a legit horseman. I still believe to this day the vet should've scratched him after breaking loose from the gate in the Preakness. Many rumors swirled that he injured him...

If he's not 100 % after the Derby, why waste him? This and next year's TC races should have an asterisk for the Belmont, since it's going to be run at Saratoga at a 1 1/4 miles. Besides, McPeek doesn't run horses coming g back that soon. Baffert horse will cruise to a easy win. Muth? Won the Arkansa...
