Usually watch this YouTube vid every year right before CFB starts. shite is electric - gives you chills.

Images of the Decade

Is 2000s the GOAT Decade of CFB?

- TV contracts started to ramp up so more games were on TV and in high-def towards the end of the decade - RIP Jefferson Pilot Sports
- Relevant football powers in all regions of the country (USCw and Da U - TYFYS)
- The Rise of the Little Guy like Boise, App St, Rutgers
- A few of the top individual games of all time (USCw/ Texas, Boise/OU, Miami/tOSU, Appy/Michigan, Notre Dame/USCw)
- There was still a CFB video game

2007 was really weird. Kansas won the Orange Bowl. Kansas and South Florida were both ranked #2 in the country at some point in the year. West Virginia losing to Dave "Mustache" Wannstedt and Pitt as huge favorites that snuck LSU in the NC game.

That fricking swagged out visor tho #RIP

Awesome link, thanks for sharing man. Watched alot of those games in the living room with my old man, reminds me of some real good times. That App St. game me and him both went crazy when it was blocked.

Where else were you going to watch Kentucky vs Georgia at 11:00am with the “Dave’s” broadcasting the game with the Texas Pete logo plastered at the bottom of your score ticker?

Yeah it was one of those games you remembered where you were when it happened bc it was so unfathomable. That App St kid had so much swag to one-hand scoop that ball like after the block too

It's hard to beat. 80's are the only decade in the running.

80's you had the rise of Miami as the bad boy, Penn State as the counter to the bad boy, FSU, return to glory for Notre Dame, Georgia, Clemson, surprise little guy BYU,

But the 2000's had USC return to glory, rise of LSU, Miami still being Miami, return of Oklahoma from the ashes of the 90's, Ohio State, Texas finally winning it again, Florida, Alabama.

Pac10
Big East
Big10
Big12
SEC

All represented as National Champions...the way CFB should be...a national sport.

And we had two of the best games ever in USC-Texas and Boise State-Oklahoma.

Hook and lateral and Statue of Liberty...Keith Jackson said he nearly fell over in his chair when he saw the Boise State Statue of Liberty play to win the game.

It's still fun. You are just remembering a more nostalgic time when you were younger and probably cared more about sports.

My buddy and I have watched this probably 100 times. It’s one of our go-to drunk YouTube videos. My favorite is PANDOMONIUM IN PISCATAWAY when the Rutgers kicker kicks for the win and points to the camera. So weird how Rutgers and USF were top 10 teams that year lol

Don't forget the #1 team in the country also lost that day.
At one point in the season, the top 4 were LSU, Kansas, Missouri, West Virginia.
