I think the ugliness is just going to get worse. After the Mexico series, we get 4 series in a row against Cleve, NYY, Seattle and a decent Detroit team. I could easily see losing 9 of 12 at this rate.

There were 37 runs scored in the 2 Mexico City games last year

Colorado’s offense blows and that’s even with them playing at Coors

Ours is…well yall know

Oh and I’m 95% sure I remember either one or both teams that played in Mexico City last year had major stomach bug going around the locker room for the next week or so

So that’d be great

West is dogshit. I’m still taking the Astros to win the division. We’re still in April

The West is dogshit but the Astros are are the most dogshit of them all.

If it was just one area letting this team down, it would be one thing. But pretty much every area of this team sucks.

Even Altuve, leading the AL in batting average and second in OPS, ends a rally with 2 on/2 out in the 6th, then hits a solo HR down 2 in the 9th. He’s 1 for 16 with RISP this year.

They’re not a good team. There are no signs presently that will change.

Yeah but everyone is in a slump and when they finally snap out of it they are still the most talented team in the AL

I see them going on a run soon

I was thinking a similar thing. It's all falling apart right now in a perfect storm of issues but it's not unreasonable to suggest that everything comes together at the same time and reverses everything.

All the prognostications suggesting the Astros only have 4-5 weeks to right the ship assume they play to their averages for the entirety of the remaining games.

Need timely hitting though.

Force Altuve to take batting practice with people on base and leading off before his hit.

Altuve is literally the perfect encapsulation of our season

His .350 average is the best in the AL....here's how he built it

.413 with bases empty

.163 with runners on base

.063 with RISP

There is no righting this ship. But I'm sure the Braintrust will blame it all on espada and not their abysmal front office decisions over the past 4 years.

Good. They’ll experience what us fans experience every time we watch their pathetic effort.

Like I said, make sure he doesn't swing a bat without runners on base in his line of sight. Make him uncomfortable if there ISNT anyone on base.

Hire 3 new bat boys from a local HS. Put helmets on their heads and those little hand protectors and make Altuve hit 100 balls as they all watch 2-3 ft. Off each base and "run" when he makes contact and hire 100 people to cheer for positive reinforcement.

Snell is 0-3 with an 11.57 ERA and is headed to the IL with an adductor strain. We may be riddled with bullet holes but we dodged that one.
