Tulane swinging their dicks with the NCAA to keep the auto bid as the top G5 team.

This may be a dumb question but if the top ranked G5 team is ineligible does the NY6 Bowl have to take the next ranked team?

Or can they just put out a statement saying they wish JMU could have had their shot but they will have to settle for Notre Dame instead?

Update - Virginia AG sent a demand letter to the NCAA and is threatening an antitrust suit if relief is not provided.

They are welcome to go play in NAIA if they want.

I understand Tulane position, but they are essentially a slot above jmu because of their rankin the beginning of the year. Jmu is ahead of them in 95% of all polls used for BCS. If somehow jmu gets in bcs rankings, they will leap frog Tulane. Not holding my breath. JMU students need to have some alumni pay for dozens of busses to Indianapolis. NCAA is getting hammered all over media. It’s not fair to the kids. Again, they have allowed 2nd year waivers before. Having said that, they need to get past Appy State. A historical rival that jmu won last year being down 28-3. They big mad about that. Celebrities, every sports analyst, common citizens are all calling bs. Go to Indianapolis and raise hell. It will be worth it and it’s peanuts for rich donors

One thing I like about jmu is they are constitutional lovers. Corso dressed up as James Masison on the steps of a historical building and the last thing he said was God Bless America, where the crowd went nuts. Try that shite in Berkeley or any Ivy League school. Scare any Marxist progressive away from campus. Make it a strong hold in one of the most historical areas in the country.

Take back the campuses!

“JMU would be taking someone’s spot… all the conferences and teams should be against them”

I get their angst, but JMU is putting the Sunbelt on the map, very quickly. If they get to the NY6, everyone wins with millions of dollars. People need to put their egos away and take the money. I know JMU could use it to build the rest of their stadium. They have some weird issue where some major pipes run through campus right where they would dig ground for the othe side of the stadium. Nat gas or water or both, so can just break ground without re-routing that infrastructure.

Once they move past the crab look where one claw is like 4 times the size of the other, it will be legit. Next 3-5 years. Basketball arena is nasty. Nicest campus on the east coast. Recruits will come. They already have

Hopefully the universities will move to change the rule in the offseason.

Why not just change the rule now?

Hey everyone, this rule is really dumb and unnecessary but we need someone to get screwed by it first before we change it.
