If this happened to anyone's favorite team they would be raging. I don't see how anyone can laugh at those that are taking up for FSU. It was wrong to keep them out. There is no justification for it. It's an insult the committee said they used what they thought would happen. You should never go by what you think would happen. That's just an opinion. And often a wrong one. Alabama struggled to beat a horrendous Arky team at home. Alabama struggled to beat a bad Auburn team. Everybody had flaws this season. The one constant was FSU kept winning. Even with their backups. Alabama had their starting QB in those struggles. End of the day undefeated FSU still won their championship game by multiple scores with their 3rd string QB. To deny them after what they accomplished because of what someone thinks would happen is wrong.

Lucky for Bama fans this would never happen to them. They get the Bama bias.

FSU played LSU, Florida, and Miami out of conference, that is way better than 90% of teams do. Bama played Texas ooc but who else? And the SEC overall was not nearly as strong as normal.

Rodemaker struggled was 12/25 and 134 yds against UF. 224 total team yard vs 5 win Florida. They were outgained and fortunate UF was playing a back up freshman QB
It WaS a RiVaLrY gAmE!!!!

Isn’t that what the Gumps say when we bring up their bogus Auburn win?

Yes they do. All the time. Teams that finish in the teens to low twenties in every ranking usually have one (or sometimes two) inexplicable loses. Happens all the time.

Louisville lost to two bad teams and beat zero good teams all year. Nothing suggest they were a good team. Their best win was Duke.

Louisville beat a nine-win Notre Dame team and a nine-win NC State

You didn’t even look up Louisville’s schedule before you decided to deride them. And then you call my arguments juvenile

Alabama needed a muffed punt and a 4th and 31 to beat Auburn (ETA: who was crushed by New Mexico State). Winning on the road against your biggest rival is tough.
No doubt

But Alabama showed they could play ball in other games, including physically slapping #1 Georgia. FSU did not show they could play competent offense with anyone but Travis.

The better move wouldve been to put it out in the media that Travis was close to playing, that he would be back practicing in a week or two

ACC #2 losing at home to SEC #9 is more respectable?

Auburn just got its arse beat by New Mexico State. New Mexico State might be the worst football program in FBS. And they didn’t lose by bad luck - NM State controlled the line of scrimmage.

Alabama needed a muffed punt and a miracle 4th and 30+ to beat that Auburn team.

So yeah, I respect Louisville’s close loss to a mediocre UK team more than Alabama being the worse team to a very suspect Auburn, but surviving due to obvious luck

Bama won on the road, Louisville lost at home. MOV doesn't matter in CFP selection criteria.

Maybe Tennessee can explain how hard it is to beat your rivals in a given year in the SEC.

Teams like Florida. Teams like ALABAMA. Teams like Georgia. How did that go for y'all this year?

So, when judging football teams the most important thing is whether they won their games or not?

When comparing the iron bowl and Louisville - UK I was merely pointing out that Louisville played a perfectly competent team and lost a close game.

Auburn is a shitshow right now and Alabama needed: 1) a muffed punt 2) a miracle 4th and 30+ yard throw 3) an insanely obvious OPI not called in order to beat a completely disfunctional Auburn team

Wasn't he in concussion protocol anyway?

Literally doesn't matter. Take it up with the system you and FSU agreed to.

Yeah bro, playing a guy still in concussion protocol would have really showed the CFP committee!

You know how everyone thinks Alabama fans are trash and generally shitty people who are less intelligent than a hammer? Well you’re not doing anything to help the case against that narrative.

Hey, how many losses did FSU have?

Dude had 4 days to practice as the 1. Give him and a good coach staff a month. That defense is legit. They’ve got better WRs than Michigan. Probably 3 better than any of Michigan’s. Got a better RB too. Why not give them the chance to win playing ball control with a smothering defense? I’m sure their QB can hand the ball off every play if the 2nd half just as well as McCarthy.

Because if they give FSU a chance, then they would have had to justify putting Bama in over UT.

I bet $1,000 that had UGA won, FSU would have been in and not UT.

Jerry Kill, yes that Jerry Kill, has seemingly gotten that program to turn a corner. They are tough, scrappy, have some athletes, and most importantly have learned how to win. They won 10 games this year and are 16-6 since Oct of last year. They are in a literal recruiting desert, but have found success using CA and TX Jucos to find some good pieces that fit what he is trying to build. I get that AUburn shouldn't lose to them like they did, but the NMSU slander needs to stop. This isn't the NMSU team hoping to win and maybe be playing for a bowl at the end of the year. Kill has them playing with some swagger and confidence. It is absolutely remarkable what a good coach can do in a situation where he doesn't have tradition, talent, or money, but he still found a way.
