Yup, was thinking about this last night. that'd be entertaining.

I think I’d pick gaethje. Gaethje has been taken to deep water and it took a lot to finish him. Chandler seemed to wilt fast when he got hit.

He fought Khabib as well as anyone

People always forget this about Conor. Khabib did what Khabib does but he defended pretty damn well and I thought he won the 3rd round of that fight. Hell I don't know. MMA is a dodgy sport where anything can happen.

conor is the only ufc fighter to ever win a round from khabib on the judges scorecards. not sure if anyone won a round off of him prior to ufc.

I need to go back and watch that fight. I thought I remembered Conor getting mauled, but then again I was shite faced by time it rolled around due to LSUs 2:30 game against florida that day in which they lost. Was a shitty sports day all around

I don’t know man. He fought Khabib as well as anyone, and he had also fought well against Dustin and I thought he had him hurt pretty bad in their fight. He destroyed cowboy and made quick work of him. I just have a hard time holding a loss to Khabib or Dustin against him. Let’s see how this Dustin fight plays out. If he wins he is right back in the picture and will be fighting Oliviera which I think is a good matchup for him.

he definitely won round 1 against dustin. we all love the diamond, but i'm not optimistic about poirier getting a win in july.

as far as oliviera, i think conor is a bad matchup for him.

prolly lookin at conor being the lw champ before the end of the year. anything can happen, but i would put money on conor being champ over all other scenarios.

my body is ready. Nothing like a Conor championship fight.
I'd put the over/under of different people to hold that belt through 2022 at 2.5
And I'd take the over.

Yeah I think rda, gaethje, and chandler are all good targets for him. He seems like a cool motherfricker and I love that he gets emotional about his soon to be born daughter. Great dude I hope he can keep it going.

yeah, if conor wins it this year, he'll do diaz 3 then retire/box/etc. maybe he won't even do diaz 3, might get khabib outta retirement. that's the only fight khabib might come out for.

I mean I get that but at the end of the day he’s 1-2 at LW and that win was against an aging Eddie that basically everyone in every promotion has also beat.

I’m not saying I don’t give Connor a shot but the evidence I look at doesn’t support him being a great Lw champion

I want to see Beneil vs. Chandler. Contender eliminator. Rankings wise it makes sense and they both just fought so the timeline works out. Do it in October as a fight night headliner.

LW fights I'd make

DUstin/Connor winner vs. Charles (obviously)
RDA vs. Islam
Gaethje vs. Dustin/Connor loser
Chandler vs. Dariush
Hooker vs. Gillespie
Ferguson vs. Felder (retirement bout)

This dude aint coming outta retirement for anyone. Probably the one guy who doesn't bullshite around with what he says. If he said he's done and has nothing left to prove, I believe him.

Don't mistake the show biz routine Conor gave him baiting for a reaction as something Khabib would make a habit of. The disrespect was real for Khabib which of course added fuel to the fire for the fight. Conor and Dana got the UFC attention they wanted and the fight will go down in history as a high paying PPV event. That's not Khabib's MO though. He reached the mountain top with his father in his corner and now it's time to reap the fruits of his labor. Game over.

No

Khabib would only come out for GSP and it didn’t happen, so nope.

He has money and is happy. He’s not coming back.

A true national treasure. I've said it before, hut he's the modern John Daly, only much funnier. The Bruce Jenner line was incredible.
