nah, NBA players are guaranteed to receive 51% of all revenue.
they get ~10-15% of their salaries held in escrow and if revenue falls short of expectations they take a pay cut for the year.
This is an extra EXPENSE for the league, but players are still guaranteed their 51% split of all REVENUE. league PROFITS going down doesn't change that.

The WNBA is something I might come across on tv like 5 times per year. It’s traditionally gotten maybe 45 seconds per hour of Sportscenter. I just can’t imagine rooting for the whole league to fold because of that.
