Concerning 007 I think of Daniel Craig because he fits the books closest.

Aren't we talking acting roles, not the accuracy of a book's adaptation?

This is more of a prediction. .. but I think that Aaron Paul is going to always be Jesse Pinkman.

I'll do this by what 99% of people would say when they see them regardless of what other little thing they did in their career.

Zack frickin Morris
Jessie Spano, then "i saw you naked"
Screech
Lisa
I feel like some would say, hey that's Mario Lopez or hey that's Tiffani Amber Theissan. But they will always be Slater and Kelly to me.
Urkel and just about everyone else from Family Matters
DJ Tanner
Stephanie Tanner
Uncle Jessie
Aunt Becky
Joey
Corey and Topanga, and Shawn, and Pheeny
Carlton
What you talkin bout Willis
Willis
Jill Taylor
gay guy from two in a half men
Sheldon
Gilligan's Island
The Brady Bunch
Luke and Leia Skywalker
Lando
George Costanza, will always be Constanza, best character of all time imo.
Kramer
and just about every small character that didn't turn out famous on Sienfeld (soup nazi, papi, etc)
Ross/Chandler/Joey/Phoebe

Tried to name people that are remembered for that character only, and had relatively nothing other in their career, which is why i left a few off from certain shows b/c they were in other movies or what not.

Guys y'all are doing this wrong. He doesn't mean actors who have only ever been in one movie... He's talking about guys who are recognized for one iconic role and use that to gain fame, obviously all actors have been in more than one movie...

My answer is Anthony Hopkins, no matter what else he does/has done he'll always be Hannibal Lecter

Many, if not most, TV stars are only known for their one big role.

While his portrayal of Han Solo inspired his casting as Indiana Jones, I'm curious which role more people associate him with.

Is it even possible to choose?

Perhaps this is simply a bad example.

Han Solo, even though the characters are very similar Harrison Ford was much better as the lancer and who defines the classic lancer more than Han Solo?

Funny, I was going to say that most people over 40 only know him from Stand by Me.

I was having this convo at Christmas and polling my family. The concensus from them is they know him better from Star Wars, because the movies are more famous

Indiana Jones. Mainly because he was the star of that series, and not just one of the key players like he was in the Star Wars trilogy. I always think of Luke, Darth Vader, Princess Leia, etc first before I think of Solo.

I never knew that about him. Career wise it seems like he never recovered from the beating.

Leonard Nimoy - Spock

but NOT William Shatner - Captain Kirk, because Shatner is so much more than just Kirk.
