Batman had a gun originally.

OG Superman should not be viewed only by the lens of his origin. His character morphed to become the Big Blue Boy Scout that became iconic about the character.

Over time that became the core principle people viewed Superman by. His best stories are the ones that examine him with this in mind (or at least I feel). Too many people want to subvert Superman into something he is not because some people simply can't believe a man can have all that power and not be a jaded a-hole like them.

I agree with you. The most fascinating and attracting quality has to me always been his humanity. Ironic for an alien god. It is his capacity for compassion that truly sets the example. He has been transformed into the American Jesus. The good old Truth, Justice, and the American Way -that only truly exists as an example of what is possible and what is to strive for- much like the Constitution. Not necessarily the reality of what is or has been but rather the possibility of what can be.

You think all of these actors have signed on for 2 pages of the script? Damned thing is going to have more characters than Endgame.

Did you miss Gunn's Suicide Squad where he had a huge cast then half of them were killed off in the first 10 minutes?

They already have the LBGTQRSTUV down with Apollo and Midnight in the film. (They are gay superheroes fyi).

I would have preferred Ace and Gary.

Some scooper that people on this board say is legit. We'll see. But I do think Gunn will release something since filming has started.

We're talking about James Gunn. There's a good chance that fricker will reveal Superman "in his birthday suit".

I've been saying today is the day for a costume reveal. Plus I saw something where shooting would start this week. Spy photos from sets don't get leaked like they used to, but you're better off revealing that costume in a nice photo with proper lighting.

Not the biggest fan of that logo, but we’ll see how he does on the costume. People can criticize the DCEU for a variety of things, but the updated Superman costume is the GOAT and that’s a nerd hill I’ll die on.

Is Superman still wearing his underwear on the outside of his superhero uniform?

This will be a damn good piece of evidence that if you just cast an awesome actor in a role that isnt that dependent on appearance no one gives a frick about "race-swapping"

We've already had a latino and a black Perry White. Neither was a weak casting. I think it's like casting Alfred in Batman. They seem to care when casting that role.
