Ke Huy Quan hit it out of the park. He was the humor for most of the episode but when it came time to do the big dramatic moment he pulled it off with no problem.
Damn, we really lost something when he retired from acting for so long until he made his big comeback with "EEAAO."
And I agree, they have a problem in that Hiddleston is just so damn likeable as the character and person that they had to kind of fast forward how he moved from "I'm going to destroy New York" to "I understand what I did was wrong."
Worse problems to have, don't get me wrong, but yeah, it is one of those things they have to work around.

Low key, that was fricking great.
I love this show and can't wait for their interactions with Kang/Victor Timely/whatever other Kang variant.
It is amazing that the same studio that made Eternals, She Hulk, and Secret Wars made this
Loki, GoTG3, and Spider-Man No Way Home remain the best thing since Endgame.
Looking forward to the crazy shite this show does. There's alot going on but I believe they will do a great job explaining it all.
More stuff like this Marvel

i thought owen wilson and that ob guy stole the show this episode. otherwise was kinda meh as far as storyline/progression. was cool to see the past/present interacting simultaneously as loki and wilson talked to ob.
probably just bc its ep1 re-setting the stage, but looking fwd to more.

There's absolutely supposed to be a sense of chaos throughout the whole show now, due to Sylvie taking out He Who Remains.

yea i mean i get that.
just seemed like a wierd way to spend most of the episode dealing with time slippage when its episode 1 we know loki isnt getting lost again already. wouldve preferred to just be more chaos. but the future part with sylvie... who pruned loki?

I’m going to call my shot and say he pruned himself.
ETA: If someone showed me a random clip of Hiddleston and Wilson’s banter on this show before I had actually seen any episodes, I wonder how I would have reacted. It seems so different in tone/style from other Marvel content.
It obviously works great, I’m just kind of impressed that they pulled it all off.

This show is awesome. This and Moonknight and great. Maybe Marvel should just go the TV show route for a while

Ke Huy Quan hit it out of the park.
Just saw where he was a stunt coordinator on the first Bryan Singer X-Men movie.

Both are great, considering both are coming from Disney+. People know Loki, but a lot of the new subscribers to Disney+ don’t know anything about Moonknight.

That's my one gripe. I just don't think that Chitauri Invasion Loki would be of a mindset to take the TVA revelations of the first season as smoothly as he did. Hiddleston is definitely playing him like the more evolved Loki that made it all the way to the opening of Infinity War.
You got to remember though that this Loki watched how the rest of his life played out in the first episode of season 1. After that, he’s probably closer to Infinity War anti-hero Loki than Avengers villain Loki

I hate seeing how little interest this thread is garnering because this really is the best thing I’ve seen from Marvel since Hawkeye.

Why don’t Loki and Mobius just call the Harlem globetrotters to fix this time slipping issue

Did he see all of it, or just Thanos crushing his throat?

Just finished ep 1. Loved it. Best thing from Marvel in a long time.

Agreed. I was skeptical about Owen Wilson before season 1 came out, but he and Hiddleston work great together. Amazing show.

You can tell they actually had an SFX budget for this show. It just kills most of every D+ show out there but also with its acting.
