Clavell was a talented writer and there are at least three other novels that would make for great mini-series.

i loved the original TV version
i love this one as well, but i missed a 3 shows the last month because life happens
so its pretty much out of my reach to rewatch them, since i dont stream or have hulu type online service.
i will have to wait for them to rerun it at some point with a better viewing time so i can watch what i missed

I was thinking about this show the other day.
Has Yabushige gotten significantly less sinister? Episode one he boiled a guy alive and made his assistant frick in front of him and now he just keeps getting caught in plots and thinking he’s gonna die and comically tearing up will.
