Gotta be red dawn right? Teenagers, over the top action, over the top ‘murica, and evil ruskies.

I'll back "Rocky IV," here.

Lundgren. Stallone. Weathers.
Robots.
The Cold War.
Countless montages; every one of 'em bad-arse.
A kick-arse car driving really fast, at night, set to synth-driven music.

Indeed, it's "Rocky IV."

this is the second one I thought of. Rocky iv wasn’t on my radar but when you break it down you make a good argument.

Red Dawn is one of my absolute favorites, but I have to give the Combat Action nod to Rambo II. I was 22. It was all American Red Meat at a time when the Ruskies were the evil empire and men knew who they were...

You almost have to break this topic down into various categories.

Might not be the first movie that comes to mind but Michael Mann’s Manhunter is easily the most 80s 80s movie.
