There are like three chord progressions that are continually recycled over and over in country music these days. I honestly can't believe anybody with an IQ over 70 still listens to it. It's the most contrived, over produced, artificial, affected, plastic, overwrought, disingenuous pablum ever concocted. I think it's worse than modern pop. It actually IS modern pop, but with a cowboy hat and overdone southern accent (and those two things make it worse).

You mean mainstream country music artists. There’s tons of awesome country music being made right now. Just because you don’t hear it when you turn on corporate radio doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
