I don't want Lonzo, would like next years first from Phoenix for him, then take Ingram and #4 and be done with it

3 picks in the Top 6? Thats alot of rookies to develop at once.

'IF' it winds up being Lakers deal, get Ingram, Ball, Kuzma, Hart and #4.
They are desperate, theyll break at some point. We can flip who want down the road.

I dont mind Kuzma being a scoring spark off bench if his attitude is right

It's an ACL tear. Not a sprained ankle. It'll be more likely you see him at the All star break.

Yeah. Two this year, one next year. Not like they have to share development time with other young players.
We have had 2 rookies in the last 6 years.

You got a better way to find a all star level player in this AD trade if it isn't for Tatum? I'm not big on the hype of SGA/Shamet. I'd rather take my chances with #4 this year and a first next year.

No he means 4 this year and PHXs first(likely protected) in 2020

I want Ingram/Hart/Warren/4/2020 PHX First and at least 1 future LAL first

you say that like it's a bad thing. I would have faith that they could develop them.

I would much rather have three studs on rookie contracts similar to the way OKC drafted Durant, Harden, and Westbrook (even the liklihood of having three of those players is very low) and let them develop together

Having three guys develop at the same time is bad.

Having three guys want max contracts in the exact same season can be worse.

That would be a bad thing.
Like i said, Zion and #4 this year, phoenix top 10 pick next year, Lakers 1st in 2021 and 2023.
That would be ideal.

Id take that. We'd need to find another guard tho.

Could we afford Brogdon after Warren?

Klay has an ACL tear. Barring setbacks, athletes come back from that in 6 months or less all the time these days. Often better than they were before.

I don't want to assume, but it sounds like you don't know much about the history of ACL injuries. It wasn't but 20-25 years ago when an ACL injury meant your career was effectively over. The surgery is far more successful than it used to be, but you still see athletes who are never the same. To say, it's no big deal and players are more often better than they were before is simply not true.

Secondarily, a timeline of 6 months is ludacris. Again, the fastest ACL recovery for an athlete i've ever heard of is AP and it took 260 days.

KD may never be the same again which is the huge shift in offseason expectations

I find it interesting that you take just different takes on two injuries that used to be guaranteed "career enders" and now are manageable due to surgery. Now, to be sure, Durant won't have the same explosiveness, but he won't need it. So long as KD in 7 ft tall with an 8ft wingspan and a knockdown 3p pt shot; he will be a star

Woj is claiming that Klay would probably return no earlier than about February or March.

The out of nowhere deal would have come before the last trade deadline.

A team could have traded assets and contracts for Davis. Had a half of season to get to know him and then be poised to sign Kyrie this offseason.

So, the five time running Western Conference champs suffering two catastrophic injuries affecting next season won’t pull teams out of the woodwork? bullshite.

I think there’s a better chance with klay being out. But I don’t think it’s highly likely

I’m predicting my out of left field offer being buddy hield coming back in a massive 4 team trade

Except that the Warriors have lost 2 of their top stars for most, if not all, of next season. That may entice a team to go all in for next season. Keep up.

We woke up in a world where Kawhi, essentially a one year rental, won a franchise their first championship, all while the biggest roadblock of the last 2 years lost 2 of their 3 best players for next year.

If there ever was a time to take a chance on Davis, today cemented that time.
