That is often the case, but other times, it is just wannabes fishing for clicks and relevancy. Which is the case here IMO. Who the hell is leaking anything to Steve Kyler? Like, ever?
He's never been credible, and isn't even saying anything if you read it closely enough.

He’s arguably not even a top 30 player. And don’t give me his counting stats, that means very little to me.

This tells me the Pelicans don’t like their current offers.
I think the Celtics aren’t offering Tatum, the Lakers are offering Ingram and Ball but not Hart and Kuzma. The Knicks are only including Smith jr or Knox but not both, and the Clippers, Nets, and a few dark horse teams are low balling.

The Suns have repeatedly said they will build their team around him. More than stats but there’s a human and business side to it.

Again, I think this is just a hack writer fishing for relevancy. With that said, it is very much Griffin's job to work to create the most robust bidding market that he can. There will be all sorts of things said to try to accomplish that. And with that said, I don't think that will faze the major players much at all. Least of all Ainge, who Griffin learned all this from.
