Imagine not wanting to use this when you have it already.

Thompson is a much better defender than both of them project and neither of them creates like Steph off the dribble. I like both guys, but this comp does them a disservice.

just another example of griff waiting too long to trade a player as his value depreciates

Certainly

I just don't see any reason Ainge would do this. Lauri is the more desirable player, and Utah has a bunch of picks. It just doesn't make sense for them.

I could see Lauri being traded. He's 27, due a big contract and Utah isnt anywhere close to competing.

Lauri is good but not good enough to build around and they havent been bad enough to get a top pick.

They either rush the rebuild and try to build around lauri or trade him and tank for a top guy.

I agree with what you’re saying, I think if the price is right Ainge would make a deal. They don’t have a star, they honestly just have a bunch of really good role players. I like a lot of players on their team. I would love to get John Collins over here as well, he has excelled as a small ball 5

Him being due a contract and not good enough to build around may be valid reasons why he could be traded, but they would also mean ain't no way he's being traded for BI who is also due a big contract and not good enough.
