Just admit, it didn’t matter who we picked, Y’all were just looking for a reason to bitch and complain like little vaginas. You don’t score points or have an offense if you can’t block. Anyone that’s played football knows that. Also for those saying RT is not an important position I disagree. Today’s NFL is becoming more and more position versatile on defense. LT and RT are equally important now almost. Teams have dudes on both sides of the DL now, you need solid protectors on both sides. A LT wasn’t available but a really good RT was. Y’all probably bitched when we took Ramcyzk too.

It's to acquire young, cost-controlled talent. You should draft BPA

By that logic, a team that has a QB that doesn’t need replacement with a high draft pick should pick a QB solely because he’s the best player available?

For the record, I’m indifferent here because I don’t know enough about the kid they drafted, but best player available that high in the draft is dumb.

Whatever you find to be your weakest link on the entire team, you draft the best player available there.

QB may be the one exception, given the nature of the position (only 1 QB can play), but that strategy is going to become more popular as the years go on.

The regulator for the nightmare scenario you're posting is what happened this year, when QBs get over-drafted like hell. Makes a later scenario with BPA extremely unlikely

I would expect him to be our starting RT week one. Half these golden players in the first round that
people here drool over will be with different teams in 4 years. Fact. It was a seemingly solid pick. Time will tell.

Both can be right, if you’re a contending team with a glaring weakness I can see forcing a need

But if you’re shitty, cap strapped , and have an aging roster…you need to be going BPA

Dude there are no strong positions on this team anymore except maybe CB, and that’s if they keep Lattimore

grabbed a tackle in the second round.

K and that’s why you aren’t qualified to be a GM, analyst or waterboy

Fuaga was the 2nd best OT in this draft according to some.

It is undisputed that there was a big dropoff in talent after Alt, Fuaga and Fashanu. Belichick said “OT is picked clean” at the end of the first so teams should look elsewhere. Think you’re more qualified than him?
