What are the chances of Drew Brees not signing and missing the season?

I don't see it happening, but he sounds like he's firm in that he wants a deal. What are Saints insiders saying?

Also, if Brees is out for the season, to go along with Payton being suspended, how much of an effect do you think that'd have on the Saints high-powered offense?

The way i see it, we got N.O., then we got Miami offering whatever... that makes 50/50 odds

As opposed to what? Not wanting a deal?

None percent, anyone who thinks there is a chance is naive.

None Whatsoever...Top 3 NFL Qb's all have understudies that can mirror their play exactly so that the drop off in case of an injury or contract disputes will have minimal if any impact on the team...hence why Top players like drew have no leverage in holding out...

Brees loses basically all of his leverage come training camp and certainly come the season.

July 16th is the big day not training camp or the season. If we get to July 17th without a long-term deal then it's put up or shut up time for Drew

How does he lose the leverage?

If the front office wont give him what he wants, he doesnt sign. The city then proceeds to burn down bc that is what would happen if the front office didnt give him what he wants. He has all the leverage and this bounty thing gives him even more.

Probably not much of effect at all.

Maybe 3,000 less in passing yards and 20 less points per game.

I'll assume you mean he won't sign this year. Then next offseason, the Saints would franchise him again. Likely the exclusive franchise tender like this year so Brees cannot negotiate with any other teams.

If you mean this year, please don't do drugs. The exclusive tender prevents other teams from offering him anything. If they did, it would be tampering.
