1) Talk to your local Post Office. Likely their fault.
To clarify, Im not talking about items arriving a day later than they said. Im talking about at the time of the order it says expedited delivery for date of 3rd day from order. It used to ALWAYS say "Free 2-Day Shipping" delivery by day 2. That is no longer the way Amazon lists the shipping options. They changed it.

I just ordered a package and over $100 it gets free shipping.

So when I get to the shipping part, I can pay for Priority and it says it takes 4-6 days, but the free shipping option says it take 4-8 days. Also they have the flat rate option which takes the same as the free shipping.

Kinda shitty if you ask me for the free shipping to take just as long as the priority shipping which is like almost $10 now. Thanks Trump!

I sell on Amazon. No location in the US takes longer than 3 business days when shipped Priority. So, if you order today, it will ship tomorrow. The three business days start Saturday. You'd receive the package on Tuesday (Saturday, Monday, Tuesday.)

Check out Paribus. They'll automatically email Amazon and other services if anything is late. Basically get extended Prime Everytime. I think it's owned by Capital One.

I almost never have issues. "2-day shipping" also depends on the time of day you order it. I'm not sure what the cut-off is, but if you order at 10PM today, you should be expecting it to arrive on Saturday.

Yep, that used to be how it was for me. Now, no matter what time of day you order, it projects delivery for day 3 for most of my orders (and that includes items sold by amazon)

Amazon is opening a DC on Airline near I-12 to improve service levels in Louisiana.

On one occasion when I did have a problem with an item actually taking 3 days to ship and arriving after the expected delivery date, they gave me a full refund.

I think a lot of it has to do with how they ship items now.

It used to be if it was in an Amazon warehouse, and prime eligible, it was getting to your house in two days. So for me in BR, if it was in Houston it was coming via USPS truck...no problem. But if it was at a Las Vegas distribution center, it was coming via UPS 2-Day Air.

UPS and USPS put a halt to the latter because Amazon was eating into their profits. So now if its at an Amazon fulfillment not nearest me (Houston or Mobile), it's getting routed via PrimeAir or truck to one of these centers, then to my local UPS or USPS.

There’s a difference between shipping and delivery. That’s usually where the issue is. They have two days to ship it. It may take another 2-3 days to get to you. I’ve very rarely had something shipped after the two days but I have had delivery take longner than it should but that’s not Amazons fault.

IDK what you mean "they have two days to ship it". They used to ship it the same day you ordered it if before the evening cutoff time. Now they don't/ rarely do that.

Well I'm not actually speaking of Amazon, but just thought the priority shipping times were retarded in comparison to the free shipping option. And yes I've ordered priority with Amazon before and it took longer than the 3/4 days. Yes they give you credit for the delays but just quit saying you gonna get it there in 2/3 days when you don't.

My first thought is that it depends on when in the day that you order it, which is how it's always been. Who knows though. I don't buy that much shite to really pick up on this stuff.

I'm on the same page, and we live next to an Amazon distribution facility, we don't actually have big name delivery service, some rando drives up in his car and drops it off for us.
