There are falls from grace, and then there’s the story of Gregorio Leon.

The Mexican immigrant became a multimillionaire through San Jose, a Mexican restaurant chain with nine locations around the Midlands area of South Carolina, the type of spots where encyclopedic menus offer massive margaritas and combo plates inundated with cheese sauce. He went by “Greg,” and became a regional icon for Latinos, a regular at South Carolina Gamecocks football games, and a hero in his hometown of San Jose de la Paz, a pueblo in the state of Jalisco whose townspeople run over 700 Mexican restaurants across the American South and defined what Mexican food was in the region for decades.

But Leon’s rise was hardly a feel-good story. And now, Leon is dead — found hanging in his prison cell after a jury found him guilty just a week earlier of murdering his wife’s lover after catching the two of them in the backseat of a truck the night of Valentine’s Day 2016.

USC(e), Mizzou, Arky, & A&M are the worst conference acquisitions ever.

The SEC would have been better served getting McNeese, Nichols, USL, and ULM instead.

He had put a gps tracking device on his wife's car because he thought she was cheating. He caught her and the victim having sex in the SUV and he shot and killed the guy. Not much of a mystery.

I lolled.

How have the Gaymecocks helped the SEC?

Clemson has been much more relevant nationally and has been y’all’s absolute daddy in that backwater state.

Women’s basketball and a bit of baseball success?

Zzzzzzzz…….

That's why you don't frick another man's wife. No pussy is worth giving up your life to a jealous husband.

Isn’t it true, sir, that a Toyota Tundra is not actually an SUV?

Yeah ... I knew Greg. He was a member of our chamber of commerce of which my wife was President at the time.

There's a lot more that's going-to come out about this in coming months.

Plus, Fagato's, which he bought-out, is going to be tied into all of this before all is said and done.

We still eat at one of his San José locations weekly. Everyone is talking about it ... also why he got rid of all his taps (beer) is going to play into all of this.

It's a major deal here.

Your mother has been much more relevant ... well, much more pertinent. Much more available.
