You haven't done any "work" unless making asinine comments is taxing to you somehow. Posing the question here is part of my research. Since there are very few doctors who publicize a medical opinion that goes against the tide, the most effective way to try and find someone is by asking other people.

Now we might be getting somewhere

Tell us more, and you might get a little more help than the intellectual panhandling previously within this thread.

I’m sure any pediatrician who does not recommend masks is just trying to ensure there is enough personal protective equipment to protect him and his staff....

Think about that for a minute...

Medical buildings/offices is the one place you'd want to wear one.

I haven't seen any doctors public state this, not in Louisiana. Maybe some exist.

From my experience, very few make public comments in general about anything. That said, every healthcare worker I have come in contact with in the Baton Rouge area in the past 5 months, which include nurse/doctor at OLOL's after hours clinics, specialist offices, regular physician office, physical therapy, and including my pharmacist, have unanimously agreed wearing masks when you aren't sick is dumb. After hours took their masks off in the treatment room when it was clear that the visit had nothing to do with a respiratory illness. Pharmacist has hers under her chin, pulls it up to cover her mouth (leaving nose exposed) when she rings someone up (except me, since she knows I don't care). Cousin is a nurse at OLOL and also agrees.

No, but I asked our pediatrician about someday’s Covid vaccine & if he thought it would ever be important for infants/toddlers to get. He said he’s 1000x more concerned about flu shots for kids under age of 5.

He said that through his mask tho.

I really have a hard time believing this statement.

Well doctors as a whole try to practice evidence based medicine. Maybe you can find a naturopath or chiropractor to tell you what you want to hear.

Believe what you will. Perhaps I just choose wisely in who I trust my healthcare to.

I'm simply looking for a doctor and/or pediatrician in Louisiana who believes that the wearing of masks in public places (i.e., stores, schools, ball parks, restaurants, etc.) is unnecessary and/or harmful.

You're obviously looking to get your bias confirmed despite the backlash you've received here.

Say you do find one doctor who says wearing a mask is "harmful" ( which that's doubtful you'll find one and fricking crazy), what then? You get them to write some sort of "excuse". Are you gonna carry that around in your wallet and break it out to the Walmart greeter and cause a scene? Here's a protip: Just have your kid walk in Walmart unmasked with you. Nobody is going to say anything. My son and I go at least twice a week for fishing tackle and/or air rifle equipment and he maybe wears his mask half the time. Depends on if he remembers to leave it in my truck or not.

This whole thread makes you sound unhinged, btw.

Confirmation bias should be considered a disease and contagious. I hear the best prevention is to use the CAPS LOCK BUTTON.

You realize bloodletting and treating everything under the sun with mercury used to be protocol right?

I’m an infection control nurse and work directly under a highly respected adult infectious disease specialist that is my medical director. That has discussed this subject with the governor of AZ. She is way more of an expert on this subject matter than some NP or MD at an urgent care at OLOL.

She doesn’t feel that wearing masks when not sick is stupid. So I’m gonna listen to her expert opinion over some pharmacist or nurse you know
