Guy couldn't even pronounce the name of my street...

I got a text after we had our house appraised asking if we wanted to sell. I was like no, we just had it appraised. I wanted to say they should look at realtor and have called the neighbors whos house was for sale, but didn't feel like entertaining it more that day.

Yes, my new go to has been that I live in a van.

Need solar: Can we mount that to my van?
New, energy efficient windows: My van does get drafty at night
Sell your home: What's my van worth?

I used to get those calls and texts biweekly before the economy went to shite. Now nobody wants my shitty house anymore. I miss those days; it's lonely at the bottom.

No calls, but almost weekly spam e-mails and at least once a month snail mail.

Every now and then. Last time I said about $250k over value and he said I’ll get back to you. I said no I need your answer now.
They disconnected the call.

the one we got the other day had a pictute of our house from MLS on it. How can that be cost effective to customize it?

Several times a week. I started at $600,000, and add $50,000 for each subsequent call. I’m well over a million.

Yes I will sell. No inspection. Cash only. Close within two weeks.

No takers yet, but I’m so interested.

I get that same call, but for my parents house. Usually start at $1.5 million, and I told my parents if those people accept they are gonna have to move.

Get 'em all the time for our property/house in Alabama. Plus, junk mail with ridiculously low-ball offers.

I had someone knock on the door once when we were in the Chicago suburbs and ask if we were selling. I thought it was a scam. But it was just some broker trying to find a house in a very specific neighborhood in the height of the market. She was just asking if we knew of any going on sale in the next few months. She heard from one of the neighbors that my wife was a medical resident and ended up googling her and asking if we were moving away after her residency or if we were willing to rent the house back until we she completed her residency.

I said no and I'm glad I did. Prices went up by the time we decided to sell, and they didn't even have to put a sign out front before we had offers.

I can't imagine cold calls or knocking on doors like that work very often but if it didn't...people wouldn't try it.
