Where are you coming from and where are you going? Probably less stressful to just bypass going through BR on I-10 entirely

First time in BR last weekend. Does traffic leaving suck dick after every game?

BR traffic pales in comparison to driving through ATL anytime between 12a and 11:59p

Pretty much any time of day you're going to get traffic in BR, especially at the I-10 bridge. I would avoid I-10 West coming from Lafayette if you can, and take 190 instead. At least you have options and you're not backed up all the way to Maringouin

Use the old hands on the steering wheel philosophy between 10 and 2.

A.m. or p.m. it doesn’t matter.

I’m always coming from 190 when coming through BR. When I get to Erwinville I start check traffic cams and traffic on Apple Maps of the new bridge. If it’s bad I’ll take the old bridge and 110 to 10. Still get traffic but you’re not stuck on the new bridge. If traffic reports are fine, I’ll go through Lobdell and take the new bridge.

Get off at Ramah, go north to LA76. Take that to Calumet Rd. Go N to 190. Old bridge to BR. Profit.

Huge variables in play

will there be a Miss River bridge CF?

will there be a random shooting off BB or Essen at 2:30 pm

will there be crazy Karens trying to catching early deals at stores around town for Christmas?

Will blinkers be used? (people around here tend to fall off the later in the week we progress with the use of this mechanism)

There will most DEFINITELY be a whole lot of people on the roads in The Greater BR Area ALL DAY navigating our streets with zero clue how to operate a motor vehicle at all times

Yet, there usually is a rhyme or reason to why traffic is stopped. We sat for well over an hour and didn't move at all on Saturday. It didn't seem to be any coordination between PD, traffic lights, etc.

Friday Optimum BR Travel Times

Best
Midnight to 5:00 am
8:30 pm to Midnight

Meh
5:00 am to 5:45 am
7:30 pm to 8:30 pm

“What fricking morons are the frick responsible for this fricking traffic shitshow?” Potential Times:
5:45 am to 7:30 pm
Or anytime actually

Pro Tip
If traveling from Houston to Pensacola, get to I-20 and avoid BR.
