Wife insisted on buying a 2012 GMC Terain from a family friend that worked at a GMC dealership
Biggest POS I’ve ever owned
In 4 years of ownership:
Multiple environmental sensors
Cracked exhaust manifold
Fuel pump
Blown engine after it burned through 5qts of oil in 2weeks
The GM 2.4L 4cyl motor can eat my arse

Good stuff.
Toyota Camry - Buddy used my lift this year to replace the torque converter in his MIL's 2013 that had a recall from a shudder. It would vibrate badly around 45 mph. The only problem was the dealer was backed up 6 months so he got them to give him the parts.
Subaru Outback - Apparently there's an issue w the CVT tranny after so many miles. Subaru actually extended their drivetrain warrantee from 60k to 100k to cover this. My son has a 2014 my ex insisted on buying for the safety features. Well, he's at 145k miles and it threw the CVT code the other day (only once and seems to be fine now). We need to unload it before it totally craps out.
Toyota 4runner - Had a gold 97 SR5, loaded, super nice, put some miles on it. At 150K or so it blew a head gasket. I'd always heard that was an issue with the V6 in those. So much for Toyota reliability. But I felt stupid basically giving it away to a guy that fixed them and resold them but wasn't in a position to fix it then. I should have just kept it and rebuilt it later.

My 21 F150 has some janky transmission issues at 29k - evidently seems to be an issue with the 10 speed Ford runs when you look online.
I have extend warranty and all so going through process but this thing will climb too high then drop down hard at stop signs (8th gear in neighborhood at 25 mph)
I’ve had it reprogrammed but appears to me something with the internal parts from what I read. Local dealership can’t even tell me when they can look at it because of backlog.
I love the look and features of truck but damn, I had a 2014 Ram and that thing was bullet proof.only issue in 160k was a sunroof that leaked that was an easy fix.
So much for wanting something different.

Ford cam phasers...
I have the 2019 Expedition and had to have the cam phasers changed. Royally pissed me off. The turbo charger has gone out and now I'm having issues with the throttle body. The vehicle is a POS and Ford won't do a damn thing about it.

2008 Cadillac EXT: crappy door handles and door lock actuators.
Replaced 3 of the 4 door handles, and all 4 actuators, under warranty. Truck was solid, besides those issues.
2006 Ford F-150KR: 5.4, started smoking on start-up with 38K miles.
Engine really never made good power or decent fuel economy. The 6.2 in the GM was more powerful, and got better mpg.

frick those things.
Glad to see Infiniti ditched them and went back to regular automatic transmission.

Those Cruzes were POS and to this day I will never buy another Chevrolet.

GM transmissions on trucks and SUVs are awful. After 80k, you should go ahead and order a new transmission. Those and Nissans are what keep transmission shops open for business.

1st Gen Toyota sequoias are bad about snapping lower ball joints.

Ford’s 3.5L V6. Damn water pump is ran off the timing chain. Gotta tear half the engine apart to replace. Big $$$ if you can’t do it yourself.

I’ve owned Chevrolet my whole life, specifically Tahoes, I won’t buy another after I bought a 2017. Transmission and engine blew within a year.

All of them. The ultimate truck would be a Cummins in a Ford chassis.
With an Allison transmission.
My old boss built out one of these. Thing was an absolute unit.

I had a '79 Mustang with straight 6.
The manufacturer issue was that it was manufactured by Ford.
Complete POS.

Had a 70s era Chevy Monza with a V8. It was a fast, fun car, but after a couple of years the service manager told me to get rid of it, that the engine was shaking the chassis apart and might one day just fall out. I guess that's what happens when you put a small block V8 on a Vega chassis.

Ford cam phasers...the Ford F150s with the ecoboost have a manufacturer defective cam phaser.
This is also true on the 2019 5.0s. My mom just had $7500 worth of work to replace all 4, plus the timing chain. Thankfully it was all warrantied.
