Supposedly it’s the most common enterprise that immigrants to America engage in, due to low barriers to entry, low capital costs, and a constant, solid ROI.

Do you know anyone who owns gas station(s)? Do they make a recent living doing it if so?

Pretty easy to guess his ethnicity.

My grandfather owned a small one in the early 80s. I was told it paid the bills....but barely.

You don't make money off the gas. You make money off what is inside.

I know a guy that has 6 in small towns.
Does very well, and he’s goofy as shite.

I know a couple in AR who were both pulling down good money as sales reps. They bought a convenience store/gas station and said it was the best thing they ever did .

Except for building the station? I dunno that seems significant but maybe immigrants have more money than I thought

Gas stations only make money from the c-store. Gasoline sales are irrelevant

My uncle owned one in Jackson a long time ago. I don’t know how much money he made but one of his regular customers was Walter Payton. Payton always paid with a $100 bill. lol

Lays are $0.70. Coke is $0.86 and Tom's are 16 cents per bag.

A drink fountain costs you a nickel @ $0.99 cents for 3 times.

Gas pays 10%.

You are looking at $55,000 per year after expenses.

Get two, if you can.

Worked for a family enterprise that owned 167 individual locations. Now I have 13 clients that own 21 locations.

They do well, very well. If they own the real estate they do even better.
