That doesn't seem very logical to me. It's not like she was stealing a ring or something she could put in her pocket. A computer bag? Doubtful. Also, he just happened to have a metal pipe in a room he was getting a massage in? Sorry, but I don't keep metal pipes just lying around. Why would she do that? She's already getting a $150 for giving a handjob. She was just a petite little thing in the presence of a larger man. Not an ideal time to grab his belongings right in front of him.

The mindset of murderers is fascinating to me. What led this guy to think beating her with a pipe and choking her to death was a reasonable or justified response, assuming the story he tells is true?
Aside from the immorality of it, did he actually consider the consequences? I just really can't comprehend the mindset.

I'd be willing to bet this was a crime of passion. He was probably drunk/high at the time as well.

I'm sensing sarcasm, and if so, I agree. I mean this girl looked fairly small. He could have easily gotten the stuff back away from her and at worst slapped her around a little. He had to resort to using a pipe on a girl in reaction to an attempted theft? Just my opinion, but I call BS.

I'm about 90% sure that the story he told was complete BS. The guy sounds like a psychopath. I wouldn't take his word on anything.
