There’s a list of docs. Talk it around your FBO to see who is “best.”

Remember that your best outcome with doctors is you are just ok. Worst is your grounded.

Ground school is about $40 per hour just for the instructor.

Ground school is a racket you don’t actually have to do it. They just do it to get you in there if it’s raining or you gotta wait for a plane

It’s 50 hours flying now to get any kind of license worth anything to fly by yourself. They only gonna let you get an hour a day on the front end so it takes forever

Buy one of the online courses and prepare for your written before you ever go to an airport. Once you are ready, go to the airport and tell them you are ready for a sign off. They will probably quiz you then sign you off. Then you can start flying.

Fly a few times a week at a minimum. Don’t stop at ppl. Go straight into instrument so you don’t kill yourself.

Google “flight doctor near me”

It’ll probably be a gp or whatever and there’s probably gonna be only one in your city. It’s an eye test physical and make sure you don’t have diabetes

They make you piss and I got kinda worried and the guy told me to relax because if it was a drug test there wouldn’t be any doctor or lawyer pilots

I’d say go do a lesson before wasting time with the paper test

Seeing how I calculated that I’d have to fly every Sunday morning for a year I got burned out so I’m glad I didn’t waste time with the paper test

1.) Get your medical FIRST! 3rd class if you just want to fly around
2.) Schedule a discovery flight. Or multiple ones. Interview your instructor(s). Make sure he or she us compatiple with the way you learn.
3.) Get Sportys or Kings ground school. Just watch the videos at your leisure.
4.) Schedule to fly as often as you can. The more often you get lessons, the more you should save.
5.) Immerse yourself in flying podcasts. Keep your head in the aviation mode even if you're not actively studying.
6.) Be prepared for your whole world to change.

You’d better have $15k just to get your private. The plane market went crazy like the car market during rona and doesn’t appear to be coming down. If you can afford owning a boat while dating a red headed stripper you should be good.
