What violence do you speak of? I see cars driving on roads where they belong and dumb people standing where they don’t belong.

Has there really been anything outside of downtown besides some groups of purple-haired malcontents marching up and down Bardstown?

Some old ladies were arrested protesting on Cameron’s lawn. They’re had a couple demonstrations in St. Matthew’s by Trinity and out here near the Snyder but those were all just folks on the sidewalk holding signs. I think maybe they headed out to Prospect one day? It’s been pretty isolated to downtown.

So videos depicting violence against black people pass around here now (and even get praise from other posters)?

Are they black? I honestly just see a bunch of dumbasses learning a lesson not to play in traffic.

Maybe I’m totally obtuse but I don’t feel terribly shamed by anyone.

Confident saying I’m decent but not perfect. Plenty fine acknowledging that without feeling ashamed.

Everything about that case is terrible. It was a systematic failure at all levels of government. This is the kind of situation created by a historically bad police department and the overzealous prescription of no-knock warrants. That entire institution needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.

No one deserves to be shot in their own bed, especially by police.

OK I apologize for getting that bit wrong. Again, though, read up on the reason for the warrant and explain to me why a midnight raid was warranted. Explain to me that defending yourself in the hallway of the home you are sleeping is wrong.

Police knocking on a door and saying "police open up", and then knocking down the door, at that hour is going to create a dangerous situation. How would you react if the situation was reversed and you thought your home is being invaded?

Fwiw I do not think police brutality is as widespread as the media wants to sell, but this entire case is a mess from A to Z.

It wasn’t.

Probably the exact same way

It’s not, and you’re correct. The man she was with was a drug dealing piece of shite and apparently she was involved with it too. None of that excuses the conduct of the police.
