That's pretty crappy. The only time my dog gets smacked (and it's a single smack across the nose) is when his butt growls/bares teeth at me or my wife when we pull something from his mouth.

What is the problem? Dogs are animals and they need the structure of a savage beating from time to time to establish the alpha dog, or in this case the lead bitch. If this woman didn't do this, this dog would soon be running the show and I guarantee you that the dog will do much worse to that woman.
