There’s a strip club in a basement there. French quarter or something like that.

Be sure to not get there too early. We got there at opening time which was 11am IIRC. It's BYOB and the liquor store across the street didn't open till noon.

The bar maid was nice enough to ice down beer that had been left over the last few days. Nothing like a mixed bucket of Red Dog, Busch Light, Milwaukee's Best, and Natural Light.

Like a 2.5 hour almost all interstate drive. Tell the wife and little Jimmy to suck it up

Once you get to Caddo Valley on I-30, it is 2 lanes of Arky 7 all the way to Hot Springs. I would have thought Hot Springs would at least have some sort of interstate or controlled access roads connecting it to the interstate highway system. There are a few 4 lane roads, but they are not completely controlled access.

Take the duck boat tour We actually did it when we were there at Easter and had a good time- super cliche, but it was entertaining.

Go dig some crystals. There's a few places up in that area. A few hours might be fun.

I worked in Hot Springs for about a year and I would go ride that thing from time to time. All fun and games 'til they sink

Naaman’s Barbecue in Texarkana. Camp Albert’s Pike for a swimming, if you like cold water.

Once in Hot Springs I like McClards BBQ when I am there for work. Not much on the way there but Arkadelphia has 2 colleges if you want to look at them.

This used to be a regular stop on the way to Shreveport from LR. I remember the fried pies were legit.
