I like Tabasco and all their flavors, regular is a must for shrimp sauce, oysters, Bloody Mary's. I consider all sauces pictured here to be separate, Tabasco is the king no doubt,
Crystal is a wimpy no tasting sauce out there IMHO.

I agree it’s way too vinegary

Louisiana is the GoaT mainstream hot sauce.
Trappey's Bull is my go-to otherwise.

Tabasco, Crystal, and others all serve their purpose depending on what I am putting it on.

The correct answer is Tobasco for pizza and Cholula for everything else.

Louisiana or Crystal. My only options

I have a good variety of hot sauces in my cabinet:
Tabasco
Tabasco Scorpion
Tabasco Family Reserve (by far my favorite for Tabasco)
Crystal
Crystal Extra Hot
Louisiana
Slap Ya Mama
Dave's Ultimate Insanity (the one I keep just for myself, lol)
I use regular Tabasco for scrambled eggs, oysters and for family/friends who want a hot sauce but nothing crazy. I offer regular Crystal for family/friends who aren't sure about hot sauce but I never use it personally, just doesn't do anything for me.
Outside of those cases I just vary. Typically I'll use Louisiana for a good variety of items and then Crystal Extra Hot, Tabasco Scorpion or Dave's Ultimate Insanity if I want more heat. I bought Slap Ya Mama a few months back but I've only used it twice, haven't cared for it so far.
I love Tabasco Family Reserve but I use it sparingly as you can't find it anywhere here (I don't live in Louisiana) so I have to either buy it while in NOLA or order it online.

I will also add that, while not a hot sauce, I enjoy the Tabasco Caribbean Steak sauce. I actually prefer it to A1 and will use it a little when having a steak.
Same problem as Family Reserve though. I have to use it sparingly as you can only get it in Louisiana or direct online.

tobasco is not a typical hot sauce. the fermentation process adds a great deal of depth to the tobasco flavor

Tabasco on crawfish etoufee is one of the finer things in life.

Recently I had some rather bland jambalaya, and it took Tabasco to give it the kick it needed. That’s why i think that Tabasco isn’t for us (Louisianans), but for people elsewhere who need to spice up something non-spicy.
I like Crystal and Louisiana more, but I only put those on food that’s already spicy.
