Yea it's probably gonna pass the house. As usual, leave it to LA to worry about all the things affecting few people and not address the issues affecting most people.

If that were true then they would put it to a statewide vote

This isn't even backburner material.

It's not even in the top 20 things La state government should even worry about right now. This shouldn't even be debated while our roads are trashed, our levees are weak, our cities are collapsing, and criminals have free reign.

You can still get it shipped from a hemp business out of state to your door. It’s federally legal

Not a fan of some of Landry's stuff but lets pump the breaks on this hyperbole. At a state level there has been no bigger infringement on personal freedoms than the Edward's administration. Also, the legislature declined to pass this bill, not Landry.

Not necessarily. Many vendors will not ship to states with prohibition laws.

But screw all of our in-state businesses in the hemp business. What if we amend the bill that local hemp businesses can sell items with THC if they say the pledge of allegiance every morning at 8:10 AM.

Then find a new vendor. There is zero risk, they’ll just be losing out on money.

Thing is, the legalization would generate tax revenue they could explicitly allocate to those things.

The level of stupidity in Louisiana politics is truly legendary.
