Yeah, they had no problem bending people over when demand was high and inventories were low. I have no sympathy whatsoever.

Sounds like a business model that needs to die.

Not finding any tears for them.

Who could have imagined that selling over sticker price would come back to frick them??
This is stupid. They sold at market price. What's your beef with that?

And they were gouging customers with markups. No sympathy.
What does this even mean? When there was a legit shortage of inventory, basic supply and demand dictates prices would go up.

Were you walking into a car dealership expecting below-market charity? If so, which former Soviet state are you from?

And now there's not, so sucks to be them.

This thread shows how thin the support for capitalism actually is.
Communism is coming, and the people will accept it.

That's because the end stages of capitalism work out the same. It's just a different and slower path to get there. It all ends up monopolized in the end.

Sure. What does that have to do with complaining about "gouging" and "selling above sticker"?

Exactly.

Normalize this to me. 2021 that number is really low, but how much in sales did this place lose because they didn't have inventory to sell?

Because they did? They took every advantage when they could.

It's hard to feel bad for them. Wife and I were ready to get a new car earlier this year but w/the manufacturer MSRP price jumps, the $5-$15k markups, and all the BS add ons (frick you and the nitrogen you claim you put in the tires on a fricking minivan) all the dealerships kept trying to ram down our throats made us decide to just stay w/what we have.

They try to nickle and dime you and screw you at every turn over bullshite. So no one is going to feel an ounce of sympathy for them.

Sorry to hear you hate capitalism.

I bet you don't complain when they are running 10K rebates though...

An entire industry that needs a revolution. Until then, let them suffer.

I think most just want fair prices without the extreme cost-gaming.
