Vader’s Model Desk: Hotchkiss H35 Cavalry Tank

(I have to say, this was a dog of kit. The fit was overall just atrocious. I’ve built plenty of Trumpeter kits over the years. Never have I seen one that had fit issues like this.)

It is quite amazing how fast tank development between 1935 & 1945 took place. When the H35 was developed, it was a pretty standard tank of its age from a size and capability standpoint. By 1945 though tanks dwarfed this tank and its contemporaries by leaps and bounds.

Nice work. I've been meaning to do some French armor like the Char Bis, Somua S35, and the Hotchkiss.
Working on a 1/35th Blackburn Buccaneer Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm twin engine two seater anti-ship / anti radar low altitude attack bomber back when they had full size fleet carriers by Airfix.

Well, don’t bother with this Trumpeter kit. Tamiya has a Char Bis kit. In fact, I have one of these in my stash. And you can rely on Tamiya to be a good kit. I think they also have a Souma kit as well. I need to buy it if they do.

Survival (the least common denominator of war) is a helluva motivator.

Oh yeah. Even more so so than armor. When the war started biplanes were still common. By its end jets and even ballistic missiles were in use.

Possible. This is the first time I’ve had any issues with a trumpeter kit like this.
