Companies have realized that they are conditioning people to wait for "end of season clearance" to buy things. Why should anyone get 50% off of a patio set in August? They are useable 10 months out of the year, in Louisiana. It's become expected, which is kinda sad.

There is a system for how you can tell if the price is the lowest is marked at by looking at the number in hundredths place.

If it is marked down from that number, that is the best deal.

Naaaa Baw you don't buy the crap they put on the rack, you doing the section all wrong.

The clearance rack is for borrowing the mark down stickers and rearranging your basket before going through self checkout

Brickseek is the reason you don't find good deals anymore. Any great deals are snatched up pretty quickly.

So you’re upset that wmt has gotten really good at ending seasons with minimal excess inventory?

I once found a half consumed Snickers bar in the clearance bin at a Circle K.

I would much rather things I need be priced reasonably all year than have them marked up just so idiots can feel good about themselves every once in a while.

I also don’t shop at Walmart. But, you know, hypothetically.

You used to could get some decent savings on stuff but now it's not even worth looking. Something that's 3.75 gets a yellow tag marking it down to 3.23 on clearance. They barely marking down and then calling it a sale. Used to be real good saving this time of year on like garden things but not anymore. Though it seems like it's hard to find good sales anywhere theses days, tbh

Buddy shake the down voters but you're exactly right. 5-6 yrs ago I was the self proclaimed king of the "Yella Deals" in Baton Rouge Walmarts. I knew how to find the big packages of deli meat half off at 8am on a Sunday morning and sammiches on Tuesdays. Every thing was half off at least. Now you walk up all excited to a yella deal and it's like $1.24 off of a pack of $10 meat. frick that.

Days of getting a $60 package of Honey Baked Turkey for $28 are done. Boo Walmart.

If Monday morning your disposable income was reduced by $3300 a month by family court order, how long would you hold out before shopping at Walmart and getting a second job. You're a lucky little bitch. Shush.

Don't seem like it was that long ago but time flies so it could be.

I was looking in some "clearance" food and for me some licorice marked "down" to 2.87. they didn't list what the price used to be so I went to the candy isle and lo and behold the regular price was fricking 2.87. didn't even bother taking it back to the "clearance" I just left it right there.
