Painfully slow police response is most likely the culprit. Takes a while to document everything.

Sometimes these accidents would be on the side, clear of the main road and people would still break to be noisy and look at the crash
man, fricking rubberneckers are the worst…ime these losers seem to enjoy slowing down and watching ppl get arrested almost as much as they love motor vehicle accidents

"idiots" aren't supposed to move their cars. The first thing to handle is the injured. Then every detail must be investigated and recorded by LEO due to possibility of lawsuits. Removal may start afterward unless there is 1 or more deaths. In this case bodies must stay where they are until coroner gets there. It's been my experience that these guys take their time getting there. In the end our lawyer friendly laws are to blame.

I had a client in East Texas fire a young black woman who was working on the production line. She had some huge safety violation that merited an on the spot firing. She was from Shreveport. As she walked out, she was yelling "one call that's all .. one call that's all ..."

Client had no clue what she was referring to so he called me. He laughed when I told him it was a personal injury attorney's slogan.

I passed a minor rear ender yesterday on the way home from work. 2 wrecked cars. 4 cop cars. 6 total. Uncharacteristically the whole mess was far enough off the road to not impede traffic. You could see the disappointment in the cops eyes...'cause normally they'd have parked at odd angles across both lanes of traffic and created a horrendous traffic jam. I am certain they will do a better job next time...bless their hearts.

You may be better off blocking the car that rear ended you so they don't run. It's 2024 yo.

I would take a bunch of photos (cars and people) and full 360 video before I moved a car.
