I’m getting older so unfortunately I’ve spent a bit more time in medical facilities lately getting some shite fixed. Last week I had cataract surgery

it’s the older people who are grossly overweight that makes me shudder. Sitting in a waiting room with a dozen others of similar or older age and I was the only one in there at a healthy weight. Everyone else was FAT

hopefully the youngins out there can see this, and act/eat/exercise accordingly

Every time I go to Europe, it’s easy to tell the Americans apart from the natives. Hint: it’s not the clothes or shoes they’re wearing.

For me the easiest way to use this as dietary jiu-jitsu is one meal a day. Mine is more like a long extended meal window of 3 hours. And if I am very active in a day with exercise or work I supplement calories.

I just find it easier to use the gorge instinct instead of fight it and pretend food is not available the rest of the day. It’s amazing how the metabolism adjusts. I ran a marathon on a 24 hour fast once. I don’t necessarily recommend that but I just wanted to see if I could do it.
OMAD is the best. I wish people would try it before saying “oh I could never do that, I need my breakfast” etc.

If more people would try it, they’d get it. I think it would work for almost everyone.

That's impressive, but also not that crazy when you think about how we're built.

Hunt/gather for however long it takes...eat.

Your marathon was you running down that animal until it was exhausted enough for you to kill.

We're not grazers.

Intermittent fasting is probably more in line with our biology than consuming calories 10-12 hours out of the day. Sadly, it's become a "dieting/health trend", as if it's novel or something.

in general 80% of americans could stand to lose about 15lbs of pure bodyfat.

If women had any shame left, there would be no need for fat shaming. The idiocy that being fat is healthy is literally killing people. The problem is it takes years in most cases for the comorbidities from obesity to take their toll. In the meantime, all of us get to pay higher premiums for our health insurance.

If Taylor Swift would start promoting exercise like Jane Fonda did in the 80s, then women would start following her lead. Instead, she's on the "you're beautiful just the way you are" bandwagon.

That's what I do. I found that it has worked for me now that my metabolism has slowed, because my appetite for the amazing cuisine that Louisiana has to offer hasn't.
