2019 RAM Truck

Looking for real world knowledge of the 2019 RAM. I am looking at a 1500 4x4 crew cab. The truck drove great, rode great and had tons of power. My biggest concern is durability and long term value. I am coming out of a ford and looking hard at the new Ram and the new Silverado.
Thanks

durability
On par with anything else on the road.

long term value
Youll pay less than a comparable Ford or GMC, you will trade it in for less than comparable Ford or GMC.
Neighbor got one a few months back. Air ride suspension and 4x4. Sweet ride and gobs of power.

I looked seriously at em about a month ago. It’s the Motortrend Truck of the Year. Technology is far superior to Chevy and Ford and I’ve always owned Ford. But, read the Dodge forums. There’s a hell of a lot of first year issues with the new model. I’m gonna wait for 2020 when the get all the kinks out and look again.

I have a 19 2wd. Love the truck. Can't comment on durability though as I only have a few thousand miles on it.

They sure do look good.
Isn’t it the same hemi 5.7 engine it’s had forever? I keep hearing about all the power it has.

The only "real world" advice I can give is never ever buy 1st production of any vehicle.

My brother and my buddy both have them and the only thing I know of was a computer reflash update. They definitely look the best and ride the best.

It's a Dodge, so valid concerns. The main reason I couldn't consider one. Especially a new model entirely.
If you could get Dodge design folks to work for Toyota, you would have a great truck.

Based on Consumer reports surveys of reliability the rank of the 3 looks like this over the last several years. Included GMC for you. I'm a Ford owner, I like the way they ride, as an old fella, that is really important to me. If reliability and resale is your primary goal, the Toyota Tundra is probably your best purchase.
The reliability data (all the data in these graphics, actually) from CR is based feedback from owners who are CR subscribers.

What are real world purchase price numbers for a 4 door Ram? This is rarely discussed. They are cheaper right?
I’m all about reliability when it’s needed, but everything I see posted online msrp related is the Tundra is something like $6,000-8,000 more new for similarly trucks. That’s a lot of pre paid maintenance expenses that most guys will never encounter on a new truck.
If you are a guy that buys a new truck every 2-3 years those don’t matter as you generally get it back on resale. But if you are a guy that keeps it for 10+ years that’s a hell of a lot of coin.

What a worthless, meaningless metric to use as a deciding factor.

In what way? They still use an electronically fuel injected internal combustion engine right? Does it pump its own gas? Try substantiating your assertions.

In what way?

Absolutely nothing special except being bigger. The UI hasn't been getting good reviews either. Ram's problem is that Fiat owns it, they always put form over function.

Can't speak for the 19's, but I have a 15 RAM that's been great. I bought it because I got a better deal than other manufacturers, the ride was better, and the UConnect is the best Infotainment IMO. I really like the looks of the new Chevy's from the outside, but the inside is so meh. Toyota is Toyota. It's hard to compare to the big 3.

GM went real cheap on the interior. Love the bumper steps though.

Look up Chrysler TIPM.
You will change your mind once you study up on them.
AC compressor relay goes bad? $900 fuse box that can only be purchased thru the dealership.
Screw Chrysler products.
