Have you checked the current death rates of confirmed cases? Especially if you remove the bull shite China numbers. I expect as treatment comes along we should get better but we are pretty close World wide to 30% of confined cases.

Link for your trouble.

On Friday Birx said, "In no country to date have we seen an attack rate over one in a thousand."

On Sunday she went along with Fauci's doomsday 100,000 to 200,000 possible deaths.

I can tell you for a fact that that isn’t the requirement to get a test.

Smart people aren't really much smarter than the average person. In fact, many smart people lack common sense.

Um, some aren't, but some are. Kind of an overbroad statement, no? Kind of thing a really smart person wouldn't say.

In these days if you take someone's word simply because of their educational title and because they are in the political establishment (and Birx and Fauci are both in the political establishment) you are a damn fool. Trump has shown innumerable times that if anything these people are the benefactors of connections and relationships and not superior intelligence. Birx and Fauci are Deep State. And, those who take the word of these "experts" you are officially a mental relic. The paradigm has changed. You got to do like Trump and do more than talk it.

Am I missing something? It looks like about 786,000 cases worldwide with 38,000 deaths. Does taking out China’s stats make that big of a difference?

The administration has been criticized for underestimating the virus. So now they’re overestimating. It’ll make things look immensely better in public perception when all this is over.

Well, I should've said experts. Smart people are smart. Take an expert outside their narrow field, and they are usually on the same level as everyone else.

It was after they ran out of tests in BR after the first drive through testing flopped.

If that has changed I couldn't say but was a policy at one time.

directly from OP first post.

Look at the confirmed cases that have reached a conclusion either they recovered or they died.

Currently the death rate of confirmed cases worldwide matches the %number in the OP post that is why it is relevant.

From OP post

CDC current US cases:
Total cases: 140,904
Total deaths: 2,405

That's a 1.7% death rate - and should go down with test of asymptomatic cases - not up toward 28.5% or 57%

CDC stats as of 3/30/20

Wrong.

Confirmed cases worldwide are 799,728. Deaths attributed to COVID-19 are 38,721. That is a death rate of 4.8%. And that is with a minuscule testing of asymptomatic cases.

Not remotely close to the 27.5% to 58% death rates statedin the OP.
