Yet I’m not the one who is scared that China and Russia is going to attack us.
The 80’s called. They want their Cold War back.
Maybe we can waste a few trillion more to make you feel safer.

Decoupling from China is a positive.
The real fun begins when China ceases to ship all the prescription medications they manufacture over here and people start dropping dead. Its coming.

My new scope is made in the USA, using Chinese glass.
We'll get by without China. The reason that they are what they are is that they dumped hundreds of millions of cheap laborers on the market in the 80's when they were dirt poor. Now that China is more affluent, their labor is no longer cheap. We can get the same level of skill from Mexicans and Colombians for less AND have cheaper transportation costs.

We will need substitutes.
We have priced ourselves out of the global labor market, which our own manufacturers are trying to compete with.

That’s why companies are fleeing China and heading to Columbia.

Well right now in the region they're going to place like Bangladesh, Vietnam, etc., but in addition to South America they're going to Africa

As long as they're not sending Chinese over to our hemisphere to work them, I'm good with it. Stronger Mexican, Central, and South American economies are good for us. It helps with supply chains AND immigration.

That's what Mexico, Colombia, Thailand, and Vietnam are for. We have to decide whether we want all jobs to be American jobs or if we want affordable stuff. We can make everything here, just be prepared to pay $800 for a car stereo or $2,500 for a new cell phone.

It’s pretty obvious on which way the US consumer leans.

you know we're being invaded, right? they don't GAF about "national security" unless it's illegally monitoring, harassing, and imprisoning US citizens.

Let’s just say we ban all vehicles which aren’t manufactured in this country. You would limit your choices to GM, Ford or Chrysler.

This is not a symmetrical reciprocation either. China is cutting off their nose to spite their face. Chinese chips are shite and if they don't have American chips to reverse engineer they're completely fricked in this area.
