To a degree you're probably right. However, I'll mention that for every person that says/posts something vile like this, consider how many didn't say or post anything like this and how many think it to be in poor taste.
I do find it interesting that as a liberal this "woman" believes that a woman is responsible for the actions of her husband and/or son. I guess they don't see themselves as truly equal. I would tell her to get back in the kitchen but it appears she has spent too much time there

Actually, the 100s (1000s?) of tweets to her last night were nothing but fat shaming.
I’d bet that’s one of the reasons she made her account private.
Folks were pretty frank with her about her appearance.

I would say the President of Fresno State just put her on official notice with the statement "Professor Jarrar's expressed personal views and commentary are obviously contrary to the core values of our University, which include respect and empathy for individuals with divergent points of view, and a sincere commitment to mutual understanding and progress."
This post probably sealed the deal for her future endeavors at Fresno State. My guess is that they wait until the end of the year and then terminate her once the media attention is off and she has her baby.
