IDF hits 40 Hezbollah sites; Gallant says group’s south Lebanon command is decimated

Fighter jets, artillery target weapon depots, assets in Ayta ash-Shab amid incessant attacks, including missile fire on Avivim.
quote:

“Half of the Hezbollah commanders in south Lebanon have been eliminated… and the other half hide and abandon south Lebanon to IDF operations,” Gallant said, after holding an assessment at the Northern Command headquarters in Safed with the chief of the command, Maj. Gen. Ori Gordin, and other top officers.

He said Israel’s main goal in the north was to return tens of thousands of Israelis displaced by Hezbollah’s daily attacks to their homes.

Maybe they have intel that Hezbollah was planning an attack and struck first.

Doesn't he realize that Nancy said he had to go? Why hasn't he resigned already?

Do the students at Columbia know about this yet? This might mean another week of them living in a tent.

To coin a phrase from that infamous slut:

Hezbollah opened war on the northern front when Israel went after Hamas.

No one should be surprised that they strike back. I’m a bit surprised they aren’t striking back with like 5x the force. That’s usually the MO. Make it so painful they have to wait 10 years to do it again.

Apparently, like most 'children', nobody understood POSUS's stern warning "Don't"!

Hezbollah is very decentralized. Losing commanders probably won't affect them that much. If combat power was destroyed, that's going to be a massive blow to them, however.

It all starts with Iran. That’s where they get their weapons and funding.

Which is why I’m beside myself that Israel’s response was so measured.

Gives Iran the green light to continue.

This is true, some airstrikes aren't going to disable Hezbollah. They're 30x stronger than Hamas

It's been kept pretty quiet in the news but the IDF has actually taken quite a few casualties along the border the last several months, nothing crazy but it's in the hundreds.
