Trump should simply say he has a dental appointment for a toothache and his dentist is in D.C.

Is the assertion that this somehow weakens Trump in the Supreme Court case? That his presence would somehow augment the legal arguments to be made before the justices?

What a pathetic move from Merchan. Trump appointed federal judges and supreme court justices. Meanwhile, Merchan will only ever be a lowly state criminal court judge in a dumpy courthouse.

I do believe these particular judges and prosecutors see this as their "15 minutes of fame" opportunity and simply do not care about the US Constitution.
