Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) on Tuesday reportedly tabled a move to slip a deep state reauthorization into a defense bill.
“BREAKING NEWS —@SpeakerJohnson has nixed an extension of FISA authority as part of the NDAA,” Punchbowl News’s Jake Sherman wrote.
quote:
“Keeping FISA out of the NDAA is a victory for the American people who demand the end of warrantless government surveillance. I applaud Speaker Johnson’s decision to not cave to the Biden admin, Christopher Wray, and the entire intel community,” Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH) told Breitbart News in a written statement.
At one point, Johnson’s office refused to confirm to Breitbart News Rep. Matt Gaetz’s (R-FL) claim that there would be no reauthorization, temporary or otherwise, of Section 702.

That's great news!! Finally someone with a little bit of sense that is actually in a position of power and doing something. Every 3 letter agency in DC should be done away with at this point. They are all in opposition to the American people. We are at the point where it's "Show me the man and I'll show you crime" Get rid of them all

“This speaker is better than newt.”
You can thank this guy: Rep. Matt Gaetz’s (R-FL). Balls of steal getting McCarthy out.

This speaker is better than newt.
Trumps biggest mistake was not tagging Newt as his Chief of Staff
but Mike is starting off very strong!

So the Alphabet agencies will use their FISA power illegally now?
They’re not stopping.

People still think we have a moral government too.

If you only hold one chamber of one branch of government you cannot get a lot done...but you can stop quite a few things.

We need more of this stuff. Thank you to those of you in his district. You chose wisely.

This doesn't mean that much - FISA re-auth is still coming up for a vote. It's a question whether it gets re-authorized in its current state or as marked up by either the Judiciary or Intelligence committees. There is no way Congress fails to re-authorize, IMO. Too many of them are owned by the intelligence agencies. It's going to take an Executive that refuses to sign it, and refuses to make use of it, and he'll probably have to tear down the offices, buildings, and data warehouses as well, in order to make sure it's not in use.

Renewed or not, the feds will never let FISA go
Posted on 12/6/23 at 5:49 am to BengalOnTheBay
False flag incoming so they can blame no FISA as the culprit to not stopping it.
