quote:

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is leading a multistate coalition including Louisiana, Missouri, and Utah to sue the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) of the U.S. Department of Justice for unlawfully attempting to abridge Americans’ constitutional right to privately buy and sell firearms.

quote:

“Yet again, Joe Biden is weaponizing the federal bureaucracy to rip up the Constitution and destroy our citizens’ Second Amendment rights,” said Attorney General Paxton. “This is a dramatic escalation of his tyrannical abuse of authority. With today’s lawsuit, it is my great honor to defend our Constitutionally-protected freedoms from the out-of-control federal government.”

Gun Owners of America (“GOA”), Virginia Citizens Defense League, and Tennessee Firearms Association joined as co-plaintiffs. GOA Vice President Erich Pratt said: “Criminalizing untold numbers of Americans for simply selling a firearm in a private party transaction is wrong, unconstitutional, and must be halted by the courts. Anything less would further encourage this tyrannical administration to continue weaponizing vague statutes into policies that are meant to further harass and intimidate gun owners and dealers at every turn.”

Love how Paxton remains the pain up Biden and the Dems arse! I wish we had more AG's in other states that would do this on a frequent basis!

Didn’t the Supreme Court just issue a big ruling that made it clear that all these agencies can’t just make laws???

Makes me wonder if the attempted political hit on him was deeper than the Bush family being pissed he beat their heir apparent.

That matters to the democrats?

It's almost as if when reading the constitution, the skip that whole "Shall not be infringed" part.

I just sent this to our governor and state AG. I'll hear back from the AG's office pdq. Al has always initiated or joined in on things like this and he's a good friend of Paxton's and a big time supporter of the GOA.

Every red state governor and AG should be hearing from their base about this.

It never ends with this admin's ATF but, in truth, it's been going-on since the 70s. The GOA warned about it in the 80s.

We're winning little battles here and there but, until the ATF is abolished, we'll continue to lose the war.

They just make a new law and force the public to litigate and then when it is struck down they make a different law. Rinse and repeat. Nothing seems to be done to prevent this from happening and millions are spent to go through the process each time.

They also said it was illegal for the gvt to pay student loans but that hasn’t stopped Biden. It is also illegal to leave our borders wide open but…

I know Arkansas and Kansas along with 21 other states are suing.

I’m assuming it’s the same suit that Paxton is leading, but on the local news, it said Arkansas along with Kansas will be leading it.
