I golf with a black dude periodically. He's a commercial welder and a hard working dude. We don't talk politics or race often but he made an odd comment to me that might underscore why the libs are in trouble. He first said that he was going to miss Trump when he's gone which kinda caught me off guard to some degree. The next comment he made was that he thought Trump was racist (we disagreed on that part but I like to hear people out), but he's going to vote for him anyways because life has been good to him while Trump's been in office. He said "Trump is good for business".

I asked for some details as to why he thought Trump was racist and he couldn't really articulate anything of substance on that front. But I found it odd that even a guy who finds the president racist, is still willing to vote for him because he believes this is the guy that will be best for guys like him.

With zero evidence your friend thinks trump is racist..... he more than likely thinks every white person is racist.

Tell your friend to turn off the fricking TV. If you are going to call someone a racist, come up with your own reasons rather than parroting the MSM.

Blacks have had it hammered into them for decades that whites are racist, every white....the only difference is the degree to which they are racist. So I can follow your friend's line of thinking.

"All whites are racist, may as well vote for the one who's helping my wallet."

I wouldn’t be friends with someone that couldn’t think for themselves.

If enough people are saying it then it must be true, right? I think that rather than him thinking every white person is racist he's more a victim of groupthink. I hope the OP's talk with him caused him to look up why he thinks Trump is racist.

I chalked it up to the years of brainwashing that unfortunately seems to happen in the black community. He backpedaled a bit when I challenged him but didn't come off it completely.

We both golf, drink beer, weld, cut up and have a good time. Politics isn't a part of why I golf with the guy so I'm not going to let a stupid political disagreement that lands us in the same place ultimately anyways keep me from having a good time with the dude.

Which in and of itself makes Trump the worst racist ever.

He's also the worst misogynist ever.

The man still thinks that Obama was born in Kenya. Doubt he'd say that about a white guy... He is a proven racist since as far back as the 1973 lawsuit against Trump MGMT, where he instructed employees to avoid renting to black people. If you can't make a single example of his bigotry, you are either turning a blind eye or uninformed. That being said, I agree that a lib cannot win this cycle because for some reason these days we only put forward people who are senile and/or unelectable.

People are busy. They used to be able to get a decent amount of straight up news every evening from their tv in 30 minutes and stay reasonably up on things. It is shocking how much people are lied to these days and people need to be shocked. Not just say one thing and be done with it. It is going to take some effort on our part. Stop using products by their advertisers. Stop watching those channels entirely. The right are not mobilized well at all and that has to change.

I have black colleagues, customers and friends and mostly all are 40+.I never really discuss politics with em but I do see their FB posts and needless to say they aren't DJT fans and some are pretty much off the deep end. But it is kinda strange that the one's under 40 are mostly MAGA.Kinda the opposite of the many in white community.

I can only HOPE that the polls are right regarding black support for DJT but I have my doubts.

Until I see it happen, I will never believe a significant percent of AA people will vote for potus Trump. He may best ratings ever with AA community but they will never allow themselves to pull the GOP lever.

So yeah, see, if someone can be persuaded that "Kenya" is meant in a racist way, as if Trump's saying "Obama's black....he must be from the African ghetto" as opposed to the actual situation which is that there's specific reason Trump alleged Keyna, you can only imagine what putty this poster is in the hands of CNN.

In a vacuum this isn't a sign of racism. It's a sign that he had experienced issues with black tenants.
