From the media or politicians this is correct and until the real reason is discussed nothing will improve.

Upwards of 90% of gun violence is addiction-related. Alcoholics on a rage, drug dealers fighting over turf, drug users robbing people to pay for their habits, etc. If you end the war on drugs, you can probably cut the majority of that gun violence (the gang on gang) out.

Getting hooked on drugs or becoming an alcoholic also has its root in sin.

Three generations of people not caring for their fellow man has led them to not think twice about taking a life.

Because no one in the media (or most other aspects of society) is ready to have the black culture discussion.

People don’t kill because of the color of their skin. The lack of fathers in the home of blacks and the destruction of the black family unit is the main driving factor.

We don't have a gun violence problem.
We have a black violence problem.

2019 homicides by race:
Black- 3218
White- 2948*

Blacks are only about 13% of the population but commit over half of the homicides.

*"White" includes Hispanic/Latino, which inflates the white numbers.

It would help if they actually had the law enforced fully instead of light slap on the wrist.

Exactly. Those looking to the government for a solution here, should be looking for a way to force the government to actually enforce the laws we already have. Lets try that a while, before we come off with new laws that will only be enforced on the law abiding.

Seems like a black culture discussion to me.

Not exactly. While the narrative around drug addiction is people taking party drugs to get high for a good time, the real sources of a huge chunk of addiction is prescribed by a doctor. Most people that I know who got in trouble with hard drugs started off taking prescription pain killers due to a car accident or workplace injury. They took what they were prescribed, and were addicted before that dosage was out. They then had to turn to the black market to get it once their prescriptions could no longer be filled.

There’s a similar story for folks who were prescribed drugs for ADD/ADHD as kids, who ended up not being able to afford medication as adults and ended up hooked on meth.

Just make sure all of us are allowed to carry a gun. Criminals will always seek the path of least resistance. For the crimes of passion the potential victim can protect themselves.

But, if we are safe then the police are not busy. Now, can you see why it is not allowed to go down?

I ahev always wanted to see numbers of gun owners by race and owning guns legally...

For example... OF USA who owns guns?
White - 50%
Black 50%

Of those gun owners how many are legal to carry? Are they or the gun legal?

White ?
Black ?

I suspect that the majority of Black owned guns that the owners did not get a concealed carry permit. Something about not trusting the cop something, something, something.

I have thought about the Hoodie too. Not only is it perfect the help conceal identity... But that giant front pocket is a great place to put a glock that is too big for your pocket. Also it is easy, fast and convenient for the quick draw...

Rapper lil baby.. (BTW, Who is that person to the left? (An NFL player? NBA?)

No more truer statement exists on this subject. Which brings up another point. Which brainwashed leftist idiot here could down vote that statement. It can be proven true with the statistics posted from even our most biased government agencies.

According to the FBI blunt trauma homicides are about the same number as homicide by rifles in a given year. Seems like it's usually around 300 but that's from memory.

If someone wants to murder another they will use whatever they have available, be it a kitchen knife, baseball bat, telecaster, or car, it doesn’t matter. Guns are just convenient.

It’s simple, man has a heart problem. We are sinners and prone to sin. People murder for the same reasons they lie, cheat and steal.
Because leftists can never admit it’s a sin issue, only superficial fixes that never address the root causes can be offered. Man has always been violent and always will be until the earth is redeemed.
Why is there close to zero gun violence in Japan? Do their hearts have no problems?
