Truth - Why Did It Take So Long?

I finally joined Truth Social and not really sure why it took me so long to do it. So far, it is pretty nice.
I also started using Rumble a lot more at the end of last year.
It sure is nice to have alternatives to the fig tech companies that cater to the left! They are getting much better these days!

On Truth as well, but only check in on occasion.

Been apprehensive to so so myself. Outside of the insanity on this board of which I find to do masochistically addictive, I generally refrain from social media altogether.
Last time I tried to join an up-and-coming platform was parlr circa 2020 when it was taking off, but it got so rapidly corrupted and cancelled that it left a sour taste in my mouth for trying "new" social media. I understand Truth is viewed as a decent platform but I just don't have the desire to join up yet.

I haven’t checked in on Truth in awhile, but yeah it certainly was. I’ll have to see what’s happening over there lately.
Echo chambers are not good, but what’s much worse is uneducated, uncritical support of your side’s ideological talking points, or even stupid and inconsequential talking points.
This board has gotten much worse for that over the past couple of years.
The endless discussions of Ron DeSantis’ lifted boots was one such example.
At least It forced me to go find something productive to do instead of hanging around here so much.

They won’t shadow ban you or cancel you on Truth like Facebook and X.
Should be interesting when election gets nearer and Truth busts out streaming to keep OAN, Newsmax, and other otherwise cancelable channels available and shite starts going down
